Tuesday, Dominica

Dominica
We didn't have any excursions planned for today so we just figured we would find something to do when we got off the ship. Walking off the dock there were taxi's everywhere so we hopped in a van and had him take us to the most popular spots on the island.
Dominica is a volcanic island meaning there aren't really white beaches and there are lots of mountains. Our taxi driver drove us way up into the jungle (which was making Adam a little car sick..) Our first stop was a sulfur spring. It was gorgeous but, wow it smelled terrible! Our next stop was to see 2 beautiful waterfalls. You had to hike a little ways but, it was a beautiful hike and well worth it! It kept raining on and off plus it was super hot so don't mind the wet/sweaty look..and also the fact that I am wearing the same clothes in every picture..I had no clothes so lots of laundry was involved on our trip.We then went to the botanical gardens which was beautiful (as was the entire island!) There was a huge tree that had fallen on top of a bus during a hurricane....no one was killed but still kind of scary!
All in all a wonderful day! Still no luggage though....:( So after our tour we roamed the streets for some more toiletries that ship didn't offer.
